You may be wondering what Offshore Ready Skids means. Essentially, a Greener Blast unit can be loaded without requiring a basket. This feature allows workers on the dock or platform to quickly latch onto the slings and hoist the units safely in the air. For this process to happen, each sling, shackle, weld, and frame must pass visual, load, and magnetic particle tests. The slings and frames receive these tests for a yearly certification from an independent company. A Frame Pull Test is conducted every five years. Before each unit reaches the dock, it has all the numbers-matching certifications (Form U-1A, U-4, formerly Appendix G, etc.) and documentation enclosed.

Frames include 4 padeyes, one at each top corner to insure full integrity
Frames pass magnetic particle and visual inspection annually and every 5 years receive a load test of 8,750 lbs.
Slings are 1/2" x 5' 6 x 19 galvanized 4 legs on 1" Crosby ml w/hdts all ends and 5/8" Crosby bta shackles on the bottom of each leg
Frames pass Proof Test (per leg) of 10,000 lbs. and annual visual inspection.
Wire rope slings are inspected and tested in accordance with ASME B30.0, API 9A, 9B & 2D and, if applicable, OSHA regulations.
