Slurry blasting is a safe, highly effective method of wet blasting. An abrasive material or media is completely submerged in a pot with water. The pot is then pressurized and the saturated material is then forced out into a stream of compressed air. The water prevents the particles from becoming airborne and keeps them from embedding into the surface.
Using water also helps dampen the old surface material and reduces the amount released back into the air, another great benefit over other methods of wet blasting!

With wet blasting, not all units are created equal. Some units just inject water into the media while blasting, preventing full and complete saturation. Even worse, these units often have a halo nozzle (water ring) or a Water Injection Nozzle (WIN) on the blast hose, which does not allow enough time for the water to fully encapsulate the grit--increasing the chance for dust and inefficiency.
